Fairness

Provably fair
A system that lets you check a result wasn't changed after you paid. The site commits to a hidden seed before you play and reveals it after.Check a roll
Server seed
The site's secret random value. You see only its hash before playing; the seed itself is revealed when you rotate seeds.
Client seed
A value you control. Because you can change it, the site can't pre-compute your results.
Nonce
A counter that goes up by one with each open, so the same seeds give a new result every time.
Hash (SHA-256)
A one-way fingerprint of data. Anyone can compute it, nobody can reverse it, so a published hash locks the site into its seed.
HMAC-SHA256
The function most sites use to mix server seed, client seed and nonce into the number that decides your prize.
Odds table
The published chance of every prize in a box, case or pack. Without it you can't know what you're buying.

Money

RTP (return to player)
The share of money spent that comes back as prize value on average. RTP 90% means $90 back per $100.Work it out
House edge
What the site keeps on average: 100% minus RTP. A 15% edge costs you $15 per $100 opened, over time.
Expected value (EV)
Each prize's value times its odds, added up. The real average worth of one box.Calculator
Sell-back
Swapping a won item for site balance, usually at a fixed % of its listed value. Lower % means a bigger hidden edge.
Wagering requirement
How much you must spend before bonus money can be withdrawn. A 5× requirement on $10 means $50 of play.

Games

Case battle
Players open the same cases at the same time; the highest total value takes everything.
Upgrader
Risk an item for a chance at a pricier one. The bigger the jump, the lower the odds.
Trade hold
Valve's up-to-7-day lock on recently traded CS2 items. No site can skip it.CS2 guide

Cards

Slab
A graded trading card sealed in a hard case by a grader like PSA or CGC, with the grade on the label.
Buyback
An instant offer to sell your pulled card back to the site, quoted as a % of market value.
Vault
Storage where the site keeps your physical card so you can trade or sell it without shipping.Sealed vs slab

Safety

KYC
"Know your customer" ID checks. Often triggered at withdrawal; read when a site requires them before you deposit.
Gambling licence
Permission from a regulator to offer gambling. None of the sites we rank holds a mainstream one.How we score
